Cross-Border U.S. Tax Expertise
Soxia LLC was established in Florida with a clear purpose: to help individuals and businesses navigate U.S. tax obligations when their lives, businesses, and investments cross borders. We work with U.S. clients living, working, or investing abroad, as well as international clients working, operating, or investing in the United States.
Cross-border tax matters rarely fit neatly within one country. Our role is to handle the U.S. tax side while keeping the client’s wider international position in view. We provide U.S. tax advice, federal and state tax return preparation, international information reporting, bookkeeping, and compliance, working with clients and their foreign advisers to coordinate the different parts of their tax position.
Florida real estate is an important part of our practice. We support international investors from the initial review of the U.S. tax consequences of a proposed ownership structure through the rental period, annual tax filings, and eventual sale of the property. Depending on the circumstances, this may include ITIN and EIN applications, Form 1040-NR, foreign-owned LLC reporting, rental-income reporting and depreciation, and FIRPTA-related filings.
Soxia LLC is affiliated with Soxia B.V., a Curaçao-based tax and financial services firm with a broader international practice. Through this relationship, we have gained significant hands-on experience assisting non-U.S. clients investing in Florida property. Our approach is also shaped by expertise in Dutch and UK tax law, knowledge of applicable U.S. tax treaties, and the wider Soxia network of experienced international tax and financial advisers.
Our goal is straightforward: to make the U.S. tax side clear, practical, and properly coordinated with the client’s broader international circumstances.
What Soxia stands for
The name Soxia is derived from the Latin word socius, meaning companion, ally, or partner. This reflects the firm’s belief that tax and compliance support should be built around a close working relationship with the client.
